About Andrea Moreno
Specialized Pilates for Scoliosis & Spine Health
Founded by Andrea Moreno, Mira Movement is a boutique Pilates practice specializing in spine-focused, one-on-one sessions for individuals with scoliosis and other spinal conditions.
Every session is intentionally personalized, combining clinical understanding with advanced Pilates principles to help clients build strength, improve alignment, and move with greater confidence.
With a background as a physical therapist assistant and extensive scoliosis specific focus, Andrea created Mira Movement to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and long-term wellness, offering thoughtful, individualized care for people who need more than a traditional fitness approach.
Our Journey to Specialized Spine Focused Pilates
Mira Movement began through years of experience working in physical therapy and spine care settings, where Andrea repeatedly noticed the same challenge:
Many patients completed rehabilitation but still needed guidance, support, and safe movement instruction — especially those living with scoliosis.
Traditional fitness environments often lacks the knowledge and specificity required to confidently support spinal conditions. Generic workouts frequently overlook individual curve patterns, posture, and movement compensations.
Recognizing the need for a more personalized, clinically informed approach, Andrea founded Mira Movement Pilates to provide clients with a safe space to continue building strength, stability, and confidence beyond rehab.
Today, Mira Movement Pilates serves as a bridge between rehabilitation and wellness — helping clients feel empowered in their bodies for the long term.
How This Approach Benefits You
Working with Andrea offers a level of specificity and care that standard Pilates environments often cannot provide.
With advanced education in scoliosis and spinal conditions, every session is tailored to the individual — not just the diagnosis. Andrea carefully assesses each client’s unique posture, curve pattern, movement habits, and goals to create targeted, intentional programming designed to support long-term strength and alignment.
Rather than simply guiding clients through exercises, Mira Movement focuses on helping clients better understand their bodies so they can move with greater confidence both inside and outside the studio.
This approach is especially valuable for individuals who:
Have scoliosis or spinal conditions
Are transitioning out of physical therapy
Want a safer, more personalized Pilates experience
Desire expert guidance instead of guesswork
Want to feel stronger and more confident in everyday movement

"better Mobility & Less Back Pain!”
“It is amazing the impact that my work with Andrea Moreno has had on my body and my well being. She brings to our Pilates sessions her in-depth knowledge of body mechanics gained in her 12 years working as a Physical Therapist Assistant. That expertise makes her even more valuable as a Pilates professional as she sees and understands the needs of the body beyond what Pilates focuses on. She has developed a supplemental exercise program for me at my gym which complements the work we do in Pilates. Her professionalism and expertise have benefitted me greatly and I now have better mobility and significantly less back pain"
